Have we had a presser from Landry yet? I remember when JBE was governor we had hourly updates.

It’s going to rain a tiny bit and not at all some places and be breezy. Glad we got that covered.

Wasn’t great between Springfield and Ponchatoula. Lost 11 big oaks. Didn’t think the roar would ever stop

Funny story. Evacuated Katrina to Destin. Got in the hotel for about an hour then they kicked us out because of evacuations. It wasn’t fun after that.

I evacuated from st Bernard parish to baton rouge before Isaac specifically to a house off of sherwood forest.

Talk about all time screw ups

Sidenote: did watch a full grown pine tree split an empty house in half in the southern eyewall

You just never know. We head west first. Hit a wall of traffic. Took 55 north. Another wall. Got on 51 and my dad snaked our way to the panhandle avoid 10 at all cost. Ended up spending a week in defuniak springs. Then crestview. Then at our kin in Milton who we hadn’t talked to in 30 years.

Kenner was a sight for sore eyes after all that.
