range of Rhode Island to Cape Cod for the eye coming on shore

NYC is way west of the eye in the diagram you are looking at.
gale winds. for hurricane further east.

but we are days out. no one can predict that level of accuracy.
its just as likely to sweep out to sea or hit Nova Scotia
