A bit of a westward shift on the 18z early models. Getting pretty close to Florida, esp. if the NW turn showm on the Euro and UK spreads to the other models.

CLP5 is a model based solely on climatology. No real time data

Given the large scale global pattern, if it wasn't for that highly unusual feature, then there would likely be a ridge over the top of Matt driving it towards the Gulf.

That radar shows a WSW motion, which seems to be confirmed by recon this evening. However, unless the evolution of the trough over the Gulf changes drastically, I don't think the motion over the next couple of days matters too much.
