What did the police dept do about that?

And how do we know the school did nothing about it?

Peterson had multiple times that he could have prevented Cruz from shooting up that school. Sadly, he was a failure just like the FBI.

People make outrageous threats every day they get investigated, and that is the extent of it, it is not apparent Cruz broke any law that would justify holding him for any significant period of time, his firearm was legally owned, exactly how were they gong to prevent this?

The guy had more red flags than mine sweep on expert level.

Tips from all different people, hell his family called the police and wanted his guns confiscated because they thought he was going to shoot up that school.

If he only did half of what has been reported, that should've justified the school/sheriffs office/FBI to have taken action. This is inexcusable.

This is a ridiculous statement. If it wasn’t for a good guy with a gun, the Texas church shooting a few months ago would’ve been much worse

Well there's one instance. What about all the good guys with guns in Las Vegas? At the pulse nightclub?

Exactly. People get carried away with "there were warning signs!" or "The police/FBI were notified!" And? What do you want the police to do BEFOREHAND? We can't arrest people for crimes they haven't committed yet. And LE doesn't have the resources or manpower to babysit every potential ticking time bomb. If you think the War on Drugs has led to abuse of authority and degradation of personal rights, just give the FBI and LE Minority Report-style powers.

the shooter was engaged by the civilian as he was leaving the church. So i guess what I'm trying to say is that the church shooting couldn't have been much worse.

He sure as hell didn't kill anyone after he left the church.

Logic and common sense have no place in this thread.

Coral Springs Police Chief Anthony Pustizzi sent out this email to his staff on Feb 16 because, per source, some officers under his command were upset that Broward Sheriff’s Office wasn’t acknowledging that Coral Springs Police were first to charge into MSD High School:

Imagine that, there is more to the story than was first reported, to bad the resource officer has already been tried, convicted, and sentenced by the OT.

Good. Scott Israel should be called out and then removed from his position in the most dishonorable way possible. That guy spent more time on TV yapping his jaw than doing real police work to protect that school and community.

The security footage and timestamps will be interesting to see if this is verified.

Looks pretty investigated to me:

Guy deserves everything that comes his way

Since the witnesses, the video, and the resource officers statement somehow left out the part about the other officers already on the scene maybe it was not quite investigated enough!

"When Coral Springs police officers arrived at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland,
Florida, on February 14 in the midst of the school shooting crisis, many officers were surprised to find not only that Broward County Sheriff's Deputy Scot Peterson, the armed school resource officer, had not entered the building, but that three other Broward County Sheriff's deputies were also outside the school and had not entered, Coral Springs sources tell CNN. The deputies had their pistols drawn and were behind their vehicles, the sources said, and not one of them had gone into the school."

I was told earlier this was an open and shut case about the resource officer.
