Who takes a picture of their 07 Honda Pilot the day before it gets stolen? She should've told the accomplice to wreck the car so she could at least collect on it

my car was stolen one night while I was at work on Highland Road, it was such a POS that it must have broken down on the perps too, cops called me at about 4am, it was abandoned in a parking lot on the SU campus, got some jumper cables and a ride and went and picked it up
Similar situation happened to me. Like an idiot, i left my truck unlocked with both sets of keys in it. Truck got stolen. Cops found it a month or so later in North Baton Rouge and called me around 3am to come pick it up in the back of the perps yard. Pulled up, cop handed me the keys and drove off. I was scared as hell. Had to walk alone behind the house and drive it out through the side yard. Truck was in good shape though. Weed all up in it so cops obviously didn't check it out too good. Cops told me in the beginning that they could almost gaurantee they would find it in North BR bc it happens all the time. They pretty much just borrow them for as long as the can. Last I heard the one who originally stole it got charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle bc there is no Grand Theft Auto here. I never got my spare key back so I figured they would come back and borrow it again but they never did.

Probably up by that cul-de-sac that ends at Lee High or that shitty street between Pickett and Lee

I forgot people actually lived on Pickett and Lee.

They have that one part of the block, maybe Arrowhead, that is pretty crappy. Rest of the neighborhood is nice. I lived on Sweetbriar for 3 years and loved it

You had easy access to the Caddy Cafe from that area. There was a DWI checkpoint set up in the Lee High parking frequently. I remember going through it.

It was good b/c the cops waiting to ambush people leaving the Bulldog didn't have enough time to get you once you hit Stuart, and you could take back roads to Ivar's and ZeeZee's

I saw the cops waiting at the Bulldog all the time. I bet tons of people got busted leaving that parking lot. Since they remodeled Lee HS it's not as easy to set up checkpoints as it once was for the BRPD.
They were relentless after that bicyclist was killed on Perkins. The Bulldog lost a ton of business.
