Gary Chambers has checked out now that he is "famous" and self promoting himself on CNN. He does not give a crap about the Alton Sterling trial. His true colors are bleeding through. Call him out on it.
I guarantee he will have a twitter/facebook post later in the day about the Sterling trial but also drop more about his CNN interview in that same post.

Did y'all know that they actually put "No Justice No Peace" on Sterling's headstone?

For those too busy to actually read the DOJ memo ( LINK to it here), the following is the conclusion of the memo, and it tells you all you need to know.
Ball game over.
Game, set, and match, Good Guys.
quote:
Given the totality of the circumstances – that the officers had been fighting with Sterling and had attempted less-than-lethal methods of control; that they knew Sterling had a weapon; that Sterling had reportedly brandished a gun at another person; and that Sterling was much larger and stronger than either officer – the Department cannot prove either that the shots were unconstitutional or that they were willful. Moreover, two different, independent experts opined that this shooting was not unreasonable given the circumstances.

I hope to God Landry has a backbone because JBE is going to press hard for charges. If charged, these officers cannot get a fair trial in EBR either by jury or judge, so it'll have to be moved.

still don't understand the "insufficient evidence" rhetoric . . . it would seem that this is more of a justifiable use of deadly force

I think you and I watch different media.
I don't see how even the media goes to bat for the perp on this one. There is NO angle to counter the fact that he had a gun, was resisting, and the cops only fired after shouting that he was going for the gun during the struggle. A few fanatic contributors might, but I really don't see the media hacks falling on this sword.

I struggle with this case. On one hand, the police saved the tax payers tons of money on future Welfare and future jail costs for Alton Sterling.
On the other, all of this faux outrage by all these idiots has cost the city millions.
I guess you just have to look at the bright side that a career criminal and rapist is no longer on our streets.
