Yeah, I'm really struggling to understand how any of this became political.
In short: people have spotted the pattern: another progressive power hungry white woman with pointy glasses using a rebrand as cover for the real agenda. Corporate DEI makeovers and LGBTQ+ virtue signaling.
It’d be one thing to pull this with a women’s clothing brand trying to expand their market, but trying it with a restaurant that’s always been a symbol of classic Americana is a whole different level of tone-deaf. (or an intentional take down)

sure there is.
stop aborting a quarter of a generation, importing the third world, and encouraging people to not have babies by being selfish or gay.

I'm sure they ran some analysis that told them their customer base was older and dying, so this is an attempt to appeal to bland Millennial aesthetic, which seems about 5 years too late.
Agreed, and you’re right about their customer base analysis. It’s there in their publicly available documents. Around 63% of their customer base is over the age of 45. 43% is over 55.
Will this rebrand work? Who the hell knows.

Oh.
Cool.
Enjoy your Friday, Klark.

Maybe I’m an old timer, but I have no idea what’s going on here or why it matters

This is an off topic lounge discussion forum. You made a post asking a question, I replied in a civil manner trying to explain others’ perspective. I didn’t attack you, nor did I lump you into one side or another. Not sure what I did wrong.
Sorry
Have a good Friday Salmon.

I didn't say you did anything wrong?
You did answer my question, and I just simply chose to not really engage, because its not going to be useful in any way.
No need to apologize.

Correct.
I don’t really care about them updating their brand. Hell, dozens upon dozens of very successful American brands have done so over the years, successfully even. Now if they stop serving chicken and dumplings, biscuits, chicken fried steak, etc, etc then they’ve obviously gone too far and may regret it. Time will tell.

I’m less offended by the logo change (other than it’s an ugly logo). And more offended that they went with that bright white soulless esthetic inside.
Only time I go to CB is on a hungover Sunday morning or on a road trip when I’ve been in the car for 4-5+ hours. I need the dark esthetic to soothe the migraine.

I haven't taken my kids to McDonald's since they made all of them look like prison cells.
What's bizzare to me is that mcdonalds in other countries is still colorful and fun. Why have the u.s mcdonalds been targeted specifically and turned into bland blocks.
