I am lucky to live outside the range of brpd. Thankfully we have the ebr sheriffs office servicing our area.
Brpd is a joke. They are compiled of children who either lost the glory of high school or never had respect in high school, so they clamour for that sense of authority. They are immature power hungry kids. Majority of their time is spent in "just for him" haircut shop laying game on the trashy hair stylists or loitering in other businesses trying to get free services because they think they are owed something. I witnessed this in college.
The difference between brpd and ebrso, is that the former are immature kids in it for the free lunches and haircuts , and the latter actually have common sense and believe in what they are doing.
If brpd wants respect, maybe treat the citizenry with respect and remember you serve them, not the other way around.

Right. The Sheriff's office is entirely a political entity. It's all about politics and they can hire and fire whomever they want. No civil service rules. No cronyism rules. No standards at all, really. There's a reason so many prominent local politicians have family on EBRSO or LPSO payroll..
