I'd rather just pay more on my renewal than go sit in a shop every year to get my car inspected.
On one hand me too...last time I had to get an inspection sticker I had to visit 3 different shops because everyone I went to "the inspector was out to lunch" I spent so much time driving around I eventually went back to my first one thinking surely the guy was back...well he was. My car got inspected by the same a-hole who first told me the inspector was out to lunch.
But the thought of having more assholes setting speed traps pisses me off

Until it does
Here’s the thing with the bill: it removes the inspection sticker requirement. But there’s a companion bill that was heard (and passed) ways & means that levies a new “motor vehicle inspection tax” of $10 so the government can still keep their money. Mostly state police.
I understand his intention, but Rep. Bagley is eliminating a fee from a governmental service (the inspection of your vehicle) and converting to a tax (a levy simply to raise money for government). I can’t see the House Republicans putting a vote for a new tax on their voting record in an election year.
What needs to be done is eliminate the inspection sticker and the $10. No fee or tax. But this won’t happen because...well...frick the state police.
