Too many stores. And too much money paid to less than average workers.

Every Starbucks worker starts at $15 and hour. More than double the minimum wage in Louisiana.

I will agree they think they put too many stores in close proximity of each other but they’re not doing it on a hunch. They have a research department that helps determine the locations.

But Starbucks is the mcdonalds of coffee. I can go to a store anywhere and get the same consistently good product. Service might be different.

These other coffee stores are just wannabes

Starbucks (hot) coffee is horrible. Unless you order one of their holiday specials. McDonalds actually has better coffee than Starbucks.

Their new CEO has been making some good changes that almost all in this thread would support if they've kept up with the news of late. New uniform standards, how they operate etc.

I like a Starbucks about once every 2 weeks.

Well before the mobile order craze, Starbucks oversaturated "hip" neighborhoods to drive independent coffee houses out of business and then immediately closed the extra locations.

Not the only chain using that type of common corporate scorched earth strategy but one of the most noticeable in urban areas.

There is nothing made at Starbucks that an automated dispenser can’t put out. Not a single thing.

Not one.

How do the numbers stack up to 2008?

Had anyone noticed the outparcel construction of other coffee scams… ahem…I mean franchises? If Starbucks can’t swing the rent how is some franchisee going to?

And better yet where will all the esteemed STEM graduates work if all these sites close?
