Why do MFers line up so early.

What pisses me off is when it’s time to get off the plane. People are not ready to stand up and grab their bag and get the frick off the plane. Their row comes up and they stand up and fumble/struggle to get their luggage from over head.
How are you not mentally preparing and visualizing your path beforehand

My wife always sits in the aisle seat and I have to tell her every time to get up in the aisle and block so I can get our shite and deplane asap. We fly 4 times a year and she still hasn’t learned after 10 years but I’m the a-hole lol.

I mean, people are just stupid. That’s the only answer. The airlines should triple prices so the masses of the great unwashed can’t afford to fly. And they should ban all the slobs who show up in pajama pants and slippers. Flying is just such a miserable experience now. It’s really just moving a bunch of pigs from one cage to the other and keeping them quiet with a little bag of pretzels and a tiny cup of water. God forbid any of the slobs and fatties don’t get their complimentary bag with 3 pretzels in it.

Outside of overpriced beer and bloody mary's if its a morning flight I would rather visit a proctologist from eastern europe who has an allergy to lube than get within 10 miles of an airport....

Every slob with a CC has status these days. It’s not the humblebrag the OP thinks it is. Flying today is a painful experience. Tolerated by drinking in the club, which is crowded too, then lining up with the peasants to get in your seat. Polaris with united is where it’s at these days.

Different people have different habits when flying, news at 11:00
My habit:
I try not to make flying day a stressful day. If it’s something like a 4 day trip I’d rather not load a bunch of stress onto the two travel days.
If I need to be somewhere for a meeting at 2PM, I’m flying the night before and not waking up at 4AM to sprint onto a 5:45AM flight.
If the quickest flight has something like a 42 minute layover in DFW, I’m re-arranging for a longer layover, I don’t mind watching football replays in an airport bar if my first flight is on time. Worrying about what happens if my first flight is delayed 12 minutes is a lot more stressful for me.
Even if you fly somewhere 10 times per year between business and vacation (so a lot, but not obscene), that’s 20 travel days which adds up if you let those be the days you dread.

to hell with checking a bag that would only move my wait from sitting in my seat while the plane boards to staring at the conveyor belt trying to determine if a bag tag is mine when I could be in an uber already.
I get your reasoning, but I would argue that you can pay to carry on your bag to save time. Business travelers are also more likely to pay for this service since their company typically pays for flights.

Worst is the people who don't stand up until it's their turn to get up even though they still have to get their shite in the overhead compartment. I want to get off, but I have to wait while some weakling struggles to get their bag down.

I don't get why people form a massive line when you have an assigned seat, almost always only have my roomy backpack that fits under the seat and don't need an overhead bin so I wait until the line is small to board.

This only pisses me off if they do not follow the rule of letting all the rows that were in front of them out first. I've had people that stood up, got their shite thre or so rows behind me and found a way to push their way out before my row could even stand up.

I mean, you kind of answered it yourself. They want overhead bins for their grossly oversized luggage (most likely) for the trip they're taking. No one wants to have their bag checked.
I have honestly started having my bags checked to final destination and the stress lifted off me is amazing. When I do that, I always just board last.

That doesn't bother me NEARLY as much as all the frickfaces who immediately stand up after the plan lands, they grab their shite out of the overhead bins,
These are the same people that clap when the plane lands

I agree and was crestfallen to see firsthand that my own mother does this. Crestfallen.
