It’s not overtime frick face it required hours above and beyond. These teachers make 50k they shouldn’t be required to work a shite ton of hours they aren’t paid for.

I get paid the same whether i work 35 hours this week or 60’hours this week.
Good teachers need to be paid more. But your argument is dumb and isn’t going to win you any support.,

Wrong! And Frick you! Kids make their own way through hard work and choices, not some glorified, look at me teacher.
You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. I was a student teacher in college. Teachers become mentors to their students. Some kids are from broken homes and have no guidance from their parents. I decided not to pursue teaching because that amount of work was not worth the money.
I’m shocked you can’t even comprehend how teachers shape a child’s education. I hope you have a shitty day at work, crayon eater.

You’re wasting your breathe. The tards in this country have some kind of hard on for keeping teachers from making a livable wage. It blows my mind.

I don’t want your support frick you. I am a professional in the top 10% of household income and I am paid straight time for over 40 if required. I’m looking to not have my wife exploited more to work hours she doesn’t get paid for.

What profession do you work in where you are in top 10% of income and get paid straight time? That's a pretty awesome deal. Surely you understand that is not normal.
My wife is a teacher. Sure I wish she gets paid more. But there are FAR biggeer issues she complains about than pay and benefits. Mainly the lack of respect and support she gets from parents and administration.

Engineering and construction. Industrial.

Bingo lack of support and respect from administration. Hence the need for a contract. A teacher can’t just leave. Where would they go? Drive to another parish? Go to private that pays much less? Not a lot of options. There are many perks like time off but thats not paid. Most of these teachers love helping these kids they just want to be respected and treated well. Not forced to chaperone the middle school dance for 3 hours on a Friday night for free.

You are expected to work overtime. Teachers apparently are not. Get it through your thick skull bra

Mississippi's school ratings have been on the rise.

If they are asked to oversee events, oversee detention etc. They almost never get paid their hourly rate for anything extra. It’s usually 18/hr for this or 20/hr for that or nothing. They guilt these teachers into doing it “for the children” frick the children they aren’t mine. Why should my wife a teacher in st Tammany have to work for free or pay her hard earned money for supplies etc. how is this acceptable? Does it work this way at your job?
I guess my assumption as to why people go into Nursing and Education has been wrong all along.
I always assumed it was never because of money but the love of educating this great nation's youth to prepare them to lead when their time arrives.

Actually it’s very infrequent, but when I need to I do. That’s how professional operate.
