Well when it happened to me I knew who the perp was and they were already probation for theft, and nothing happened. Thanks alot jefferson parish police department. Never calling those losers again.

Probably used the stolen card to pay off the cops

Congrats on having your card stolen and then using your own money to bribe the cops to not arrest the person who stole your money

Contact the Louisiana Medicaid Fraud Control Unit at 1-888-799-6885. They investigate people defrauding the Medicaid Program or abusing (physical, financial, sexual, etc) elderly or disabled citizens in nursing or group homes.

fact is, if you don't authorize a credit card charge, you are not legally responsible for it....so if true, your great aunt should not have too much of an issue.

you need to be sure that there has actually been a crime committed though, as old people sometimes slip off into binge shopping, etc.
