This might be way off base...
But my non expert and probably tired opinion is that CNN pretty much backs democrats and wants them in office. 90%+ of black people vote democrat. Thus, it's really counterproductive to offend any black people and or democrats in general. So they suck up to their base. Tapper has been on his fricking knees since he's been there.
