Cops usually do pretty well in court. Some cops murdered Kelly Thomas and they walked. And it was all on video.

He put a lot of the blame of the attitudes inside of cities like Ferguson on the false leaders, ala Sharpton, who make all of these false promises and give them home when they need to be told straight up.

I'd get the local lawyer Scott Rosenblum if I'm Darren. My neighbor had her husband killed and he got her off. He has a pretty good success rate. Even on stone cold killers. This would be child's play for him.

Impossible to know without knowing what the evidence is if you think about it.
What I can say I guess is:
For those that have predetermined the cop innocent, it will be described as sacrificing him even if there is sufficient evidence to support charges.
For those that have predetermined the cop guilty, he will not be described as being sacrificed but legitimately charged even if the evidence ultimately turns out to be flimsy.
My further guess, most will describe the evidence as either strong or flimsy to fit whichever of the 2 above categories they fall into.
