It really is becoming laughable. They can throw out all the info on last nights OIS no problem, but continue to taunt individuals with this info. It isn't going to help anything, just release the info, get whatever is going to happen over with, and move on.

I agree. I tried defending the police, but I've come to a revelation.. i'm not in the community's shoes, I don't know what they're going through, so who am I to judge. I hope they can become stronger from this and create change and peace.

well if the FBI or another agency is investigating, they can't just dump all the info publicly

if the public wants an investigation by another body, it has to wait for the dump (if that ever happens)

and as with any investigation, small things will leak out through "sources"

1 Big Issue that the Media and Dooley and others aren't even looking at, Small Muni police departments and their poorly trained and poorly equipped officers.

St.Louis County needs to start forcing their way in, and pushing these departments out. They serve very little purpose and are dead weights as far as money to these small cities.

If your a grad of Police academy, your going to SLPD or StlCo. Then either stay or go out to some of the higher paying places. Your not going to charlack, beverly hills,Ferguson, etc.

When Officers are not trained properly and continuously given training, your going to have this type of stuff, but mostly not to this degree.

St.louis city and county are some of the best trained officers in this country.

I know here that all the smaller jurisdictions have their officers trained at the national academy or the local metropolitan academy. Is the situation not the same in STL?

Here as well. Even the little towns with only two or three officers even send theirs so I don't know where that's coming from. They may hire them without it, but they send it. Also a lot of cops that work for the larger cities or parish pick up part time work in the smaller towns.
The cops in the larger cities on average I think are better at handling bad situations though, just from more experience and busier schedules on the average day dealing with them vs writing speeding tickets 90% of the time. From the sound of this place though, they should all have plenty of experience dealing with thugs.

I believe the Community Colleges have them, but these aren't internationally accredited like the SLPD and STLCO academies are. The hands on, dealing with community experience is not there.

They had a story on news about these small County munis and how some of the police officers had records, one guy had several felonies. these small munis in county are a joke(.

At one time, they served a purpose. Now they are dinosaurs that should be fossilized.

Some of these officers in these munis are the worst of the worst. They couldnt get hired any where else.

And since these munis dont pay much, your field is limited to start.

This is why they should get rid of them, and allow STLCO to take over. Your getting best trained officers to handle the job.

Don't know if this has been posted but I find it rather funny that Al "Not So" Sharpton gets heckled by a "reporter".

Dude, my old lady was pissed when i left. She has to work this week, and im up till 3am, and then sleeping till 10am.

She heard me and got up and asked where i was going, i said, "Shits going down at SoCo mall". she said to get off the computer and go to bed. I told her, i was on duty, and it was my obligation to the good people of South County to check it out. I heard her mumble some shite about me being a dumb arse and she closed the bedroom door. lol

If there is anythign going down in Fenton/Arnold/South County/ and even South St.Louis City near loughborough, i'll head out and this time bring a camera.

I don't get the purpose of that letter. Seems like you would ONLY release a letter like that if you felt the shooting wasn't justified.

Ok, Chet Pleban (Local Lawyer) was on fox2news, and explains why Officers name hasn't been revealed. Chet handles a lot of Officer cases as well as criminal cases.
