Whatever. Next time someone's breaking into your house call the fricking garbageman.

I wonder how many private business owners and civilians have called the cops to report break-ins the last couple nights in St. Louis, and how many of those calls were actually responded to in time to do anything about the situation

I did read it. I was hoping you would be able to offer something more profound than 'supposedly this kid had a record, therefore I believe he's the one at fault in this completely new and unrelated situation.'

That was the length of your discussion. Someone else even replied to you to say that whether or not he had a rap sheet was not relevant to this situation.

Is it more believable that a cop rolls up on two young men in the street and murders one in cold blood, or is it more believable that a young man with a rap sheet attacks a cop in some manner that justifies deadly force?

That was the conversation. Whether he had a rap sheet or not is certainly relevant when discussing what is more likely.

If the cop is charged with some sort of crime, you can bet your arse his defense will bring up Michael Brown's past, including any criminal convictions. I believe that makes it relevant, particularly if the evidence is scarce.

HOWEVER, it appears that Brown does not have any adult criminal history.

I am apt to believe cop shot suspect since no officer down call

Likewise, if the police officer in question has a history of complaints, we'll hear about that.

School district is Ferguson/Florissant. Anonymous may not know that the municipalities are separate even thought the school districts aren't.

Exactly.

FWIW:

quote:

The officer is on paid administrative leave. There's no word on when authorities will identify him, but Belmar said he has been with the force six years and is "unaware of any other issues that he's been involved in."

The wiggle room is interesting. I might have gone through the officer's file before I made a statement on it.

Don't know anymore information on police shooting report. Exact words from scanner were: "Another Police shooting in Ferguson. All officers are to be on high alert." Will post as soon as we learn more. In the meantime, the St. Louis County Police Dispatch - 1st Pct feed has gone offline.
