Kid didn't have a gun, and that cop had more at his disposal than a gun to get the kid subdued, but i'll leave it at that so it doesn't turn into a 4 page bitchfest like so often happens in this thread.

I've had a few run ins with a-hole cops but I was usually drunk so I guess I could have been being an arse also

Kid allegedly went after his gun. cop has to look out for his own safety first, and thats all that matters in the courts

I agree. But let's not pretend that some cops aren't better equipped and handle stress better than others. This situation has to be handled very carefully. No room for error. It wouldn't be shocking if an officer got a little too jumpy or mouthy. Match meet powder keg.

First, he was 18 years old. Not a kid any more. Secondly, the report is he tried to disarm the officer. He wasnt doing that to clean the officers gun. It became life or death at that moment to that officers
