Just received a text stating that this may be the case.

This can't be the case, can it?

I received a notification a little while ago that all Ascension Parish schools were letting out early. Not sure if that has anything to do with it.

The person that sent this to me hasn't responded back with more information.

I surely hope they are mistaken as St. Amant just recently got back their school after last year's flood.

They're closing schools early. Maybe a misunderstanding.

Would seem odd since it doesn't appear any river flooding yet.

I'm not saying that this is untrue, because I cannot get confirmation. However, this may be a case of the telephone game. I already have people freaking out because Burnside has water, even though these same places get water on the roads with every prolonged rain.

If I had to guess, like someone said, they might have confused it with the fact they are getting out of school early.

I am sure.. If you check FB, by now someone will be saying it is flooding.

I know a teacher there. No rising water, but temp building leaking like a sieve.

I just passed there and didn't see anything. The ditches are full. But that's it.
