The light projectile is going to limit range, so, it doesn't appear to me that the gun crew could engage an enemy tank beyond the range of enemy infantry rifle fire. That meant that the gun crew could not expect to get more then two rounds off before their concealment is discovered and enemy suppressive fire descends on you.
Range for shooting at a tank? Wait until the closest range practicable, but, no more than 500 meters.

No way for us to know, but, by the 1943 to 1945 phase of WW2, this weapon was probably considered to be obsolete.
What I like best about this weapon is that when mounted for Paratrooper units, it was light enough to roll around manually and one guy could aim it to put on target.
