So they guaranteed a backup kicker a 4 year scholarship? That's wild.

No one know WTF is going on with NIL, I’m just honest.

You are record claiming to know how much the majority of college players are making.

I think I should call his agent and just pay him one lump sum, it’s less than a grand for the year.

So you you've said that you haven't even seen his NIL contract and the business is strictly between your son and his agent and parents should not be involved in those discussions, but you are wondering if you should just go ahead and pay his agent a lump sum amount?

My son got his damn car booted this morning…I don’t think adding a random bill he has to pay with 10 days of the deposit each month is something worth doing right now. Maybe when it’s more $.

I know how much the kicker gets paid at Arkansas, because my son had that offer. I know how much the UF kicker got paid last year because the agent was fighting for that this spring.

I know that that make everyone sign a deal…because my son not signing (my advice) wasn’t an option…if he wanted to be on the team.

Is your son broke? Didn't you say that the agent is going to be making less than $50 per month? Again, you have previously claimed to know how much most players on SEC teams are making, but you are now saying that no one knows how NIL is going to work.

My son is a typical rich kid, he doesn’t give one shite about how much he’s getting as long as his gold card works.

What on earth are you talking about?

I know that every starting player at Arkansas at least makes X amount because my son was on that bottom tier. I assumed the scholarship stipend at SEC schools would be similar..,I was wrong. Arks’ $25k/yr is UF’s $8-10k.

I suggest he not get this degree.

I have one, and ended up going back to school (really never even leaving) for a different degree. This added time and expense. Nobody knows I have this degree in my professional life today.

I did. He’s never had a job though. Is not a rich kid, he just thinks he is…well he thought he was before his Nashville girlfriend…her family is rich.

Right. They were one year guaranteed contracts. Are you saying that all athletic scholarships are 4 year agreements now?

You've said this:
quote:

$50k - 100k IS the other 85%. If you’re a starter in a big conference that seems par. That is not a helluva lot of money. Non starters get 1/10 of that. Makes for very few getting the money that pisses everyone off. People still are.

Can you provide a link? I'm confused on how scholarship are ties to NIL.

My son was tier 1 at Ark, starter…it was $60 without profit sharing and 90 with it…for your first year and 10 more if you move out of their apartment after that.

$60/yr is close at UF I imagine as well…that’s what my son will expect next year. Who knows though?

So your son is making $60k a year in addition to his scholarship and you are worried about him paying his agent $50 per month?

Shouldn't he know this, considering he is currently enrolled there?
