Look at the Subscribe and Save stuff. You can subscribe to toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, and other stuff. It comes to your door at whatever intervals you choose, automatically.

Everything that I can get cheaper than at Rouses. I buy everything but my fresh food from Amazon.
Walmarks gives me anxiety so I never go there.

Detergent? Toiletries? How cost effective is this thing
Yes to all of these, and anything else you use on a regular basis. Get a prime pantry account (%15 discount on everything once you add a few items) and schedule all your recurring purchases to just show up on schedule without you having to go to the store and pay more. I have no idea why more people don't use this.

Deodorant
Toilet Paper
nutrigrain bars
Zone Bars
Slim fast Bars
Wife gets makeup
Toothpaste
Just a sampling of what's on our subscribe and save list.
Wife has been ordering Tyvek envelopes (50% savings from Office Depot), pencils, pens.
I'm fixing to order a new pair of Sebago boat shoes and a couple of Columbia fishing shirts (40% off the shoes, 50% off the shirts), running shoes, socks, Otter Box cases... The list goes on and on. All of it is much cheaper than brick & mortar stores or it's just easier to have it delivered on a schedule than to remember to put it on the grocery list. I haven't found laundry detergent that was cheaper than Sam's, but that might just be the brand I use. Well worth the $100/year we spend on Prime

The only bad experience I have had with Amazon was ordering pet food thru Subscribe and Save. The price was the same as Petsmart but was delivered to my house.
One day I checked the price and it had doubled! I cancelled my order and make the trip to Petsmart.

Over the past few years, my office supply costs have gone way up. So much that I finally looked into Amazon became a prime member. I ordered everything from bulk paper to pens and got a great deal and prompt shipping.
Get as many Amazon Dash buttons as you need to make reorder of simple stuff easy.

The only things I don't buy on amazon are things that I actually need to see in person to know if I want it but it isn't easy to find locally. Most recently that was a jacket that I couldn't really tell if I liked the material. This is a rare case though, 99% of the time I know what I'm looking for and it's way cheaper on amazon, and the other 1% of the time I can window shop in a store then order it much cheaper.

Amazon automatically sends us half our grocery list without me doing anything. I also use Dash Buttons for things I don't want sent until I say so. I haven't been to a grocery store since 2012, and for someone that hates people at grocery stores, that's priceless.
