Private: St Paul's
Public: Northshore

Both have good students due to demographics. Neither School is a bad institution, but I think the curriculum is overrated.

For most schools there is a huge difference between the education in honors classes versus regular classes.

So everyone who went to Catholic BR is gay because they went to an all-male high school, meaning Jesuit, Brother Martin, Rummel, etc. graduates are also gay?

Who would've thunk it!

No actually I don't have any kids. But if I do have a son, he will not be going to Jesuit.

Which is a crock... Rummel's education system is based on the LaSallian principal... They take most kids and work with them when they struggle... Unlike some schools, if you can't cut it, it's see you later....

This is what Redemptorist in BR became once Zachary and Central quit sending them students. We all know what happened to the Wolfpack.

Students are the biggest bunch of cliquish jerk offs in the city. If you aren't from uptown and don't have money, you are dogshite. And you are treated just as such. And there is no problem the right amount of money can't fix. Case in point, just ask one of the large group of guys who cut down one of the oak trees in the school courtyard the last day of their senior year. They still got their diplomas. The school is good for connections in New Orleans and I got a great education. However, the students are the biggest bunch of over entitled pricks I ever met.

What's funny about this thread, most of my friends either went to Rummel, Jesuit, Brother Martin or Holy Cross, I think we had this same conversation 25 years ago...

It'll never end....

I always wanted to open a bar and call it "11 Quad A's".. After the Old Catholic League... Just to keep the banter going...

I'm from Holy Cross, Jesuit's most bitter rival, and even I will say that your statement is beyond ludicrous. Jesuit produces around 25-30 National Merit Semifinalists each and every year. The only school in the state that can compete with that is Ben Franklin. No one else is even in the same league. Explain how they are overrated...

Im not a huge Jesuit fan, but for the value, there education can't be beat.

I don't know what the problem with Rummel is, but they did indeed slip in the last five years.

Rummel's declining enrollment post Katrina has been pretty well documented in the TP

I'm not sure how they are overrated. They've been around like 50 years and have always fell in the middle in regards to all boy catholic schools
