Rummel really isn't all that.No need to be overly defensive about it.

I think I read their admission numbers were down because the quality of education wasn't worth the price.

I know this is a very specific example and most certainly isn't representative of the entirety of Rummel, but...
From my catholic grammar school class, most boys went to Rummel. Only a few went to Jesuit or Brother Martin. The boys with college degrees are the few that didn't go to Rummel. I know it is nothing more than coincidence, and most of them make good livings, albeit doing "harder" work than I do for instance. It's just something that has always stuck with me about that school.

Based on the school performance scores released by the DOE - Denham Springs High School with an "A".
Trust me, if DSHS is an A school in Louisiana, then Louisiana needs to drastically raise its standards.
What a joke.
Besides, I wouldn't trust a test score coming out of that school due to the issues with integrity that exist with the head guy there - liar and a cheater.

No. I think it was an article posted on here. It was a local newspaper article.
You went to Rummel and you seem like a smart guy. I'm just reporting what I read.
I don't think the newspaper article explicitly said why their numbers were down but I think a few posters chimed in.

I'm not sure about "overrated", but from a ROI standpoint, I have a hard time seeing the value in Country Day, Newman, St. Martin's, etc.

Ben Franklin has produced more National Merit Semifinalits than any other high school in the country.

That doesn't make them not weird But of course saying "nothing but weirdos" is taking it too far. My personal experience with Franklin grads has been about 50/50 on the weird to normal scale. Noticeably above average, but nothing wild.

not from NOLA but whenever I hear Jesuit someone always brings up the term Fairy Boys.
