If you (1) trust that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and (2) believe that He lived a mortal life, died on the cross as a sacrifice for your sins, and rose from the dead and (3) have faith that belief in that sacrifice is the ONLY way to Heaven and (4) truly and honestly repent and ask forgiveness for your sins through him and God the Father, then yes, you can rape and kill as many babies as you want and still go to Heaven.

This is why the Catholic church is such a fraud.

My God is not an a-hole that only loves Christians and damns the 4+ billion Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, etc.

I've never understood how people can be so short-sighted.

I know a lot religious people believe this way but I don't. If being on your death bed is what finally motivated you to ask for forgiveness I don't think it will be granted.

Contrition motivated by your expiration is like a contract made under duress. Doesn't pass the smell test, at least to me.

The problem with your logic is if someone follows your four items, then they aren't gong to rape and kill. That's like being a Flordia fan and rooting for Georgia.

So people can believe or do as they wish and your God is fine with that? If that's the case then there is no God.

It depends on your conception of God, really. A God or gods can theoretically exist without any form of faith.

You don't follow me. Belief in Jesus or Allah or Yahweh or Krishna is not the only way to enlightenment. They are not the only paths to God.

As long as he invites christ in to his heart as his lord and savior he will be saved.

Where was God for the people he killed? What was wrong with what was in their hearts?

A fundamental element of Christian theology (unless you're a dirty Calvinist) is free will. That allows Man to do evil with no intercession from God.

Sin is inherent to mankind; no one chooses to rebel against God, it is in our very nature to be fearful and deceitful and proud before Him.

It is no more likely for some African warlord who lives a life of wanton slaughter to find himself abased before God than the most virtuous Christian. And if the former should pick up the Holy Bible in the twilight of his life while the latter puts his down, well then, one belongs in the infinite presence of the Almighty and the other will be vomited out of God's mouth with the agnostics and atheists.

Christianity is not a Choose Your Own Adventure book or an all you can eat buffet, no matter what 21st Century churches tell us. "Jesus loves you! Go ahead- skip the mustard greens and go right to the chocolate fountain! We are all equal before God!"

I simply accepted the fact that it’s not my place to ever judge the fate of another individual. I kind if like what Marines say, “God passes judgement. We just arrange the meeting.” I kind take a similar approach, but not so lethal.

Basically, it's orthodoxy and not orthopraxy.
