I've always put Shell premium in the MINI.

No reason to start using it, but does make it nice for those that have to use it.

Only for cars that require it. It is a waste of money in an engine that can't take advantage of it (higher compression/higher boost/aggressive timing curve).

My truck supposedly gets slightly better performance with it but I still use 87 octane. I drive like a 70 yr old man anyway
