I also like the idea of Southeast Asia. Thailand/Cambodia/Nam. I can't see Hawaii being a bad one either

5 days in Rome, 2 in Florence, 3 in the Tuscan countryside south of Florence. It was a great time, the countryside and vineyards were the best part. Wish we would have traveled to the Amalfi Coast, though. I guess that'll be on next trip.

Thanks for the post.

Did you check out Railay Beach? Looked pretty cool.

I've been debating the excursion to Maya. Probably should just do it one day. Thanks for the tip on that.

I've researched the hell out of it and "know everything" but choosing where to stay is tough

Mrs. Sheep 1.0 - we had a few candidates, Hawaii, Bahamas, etc. Our deadline to decide was Tuesday, September 11, 2001. We decided to drive to Disney World.

Mrs. Sheep 2.0 - Seattle/Vancouver/Whistler - and it was amazing.

We were relatively poor and pressed for time, Gulf State Park in Gulf Shores, AL. I did so much pile driving there that they had to tear the entire complex down, it was structurally impaired.

I have since made it up to her, including surprise trips to the Wembley Saints game, Barbados, Ireland a couple of times and Costa Rica.

Note: Eurostar =/= Good Idea

To the OPer: Hawai'i

It's Merka and Polynesian. Any budget works there too. I liked the Big Island bestest. Astounding natural beauty there.
