I pass by there regularly and nothing has been happening for a couple of months. I wonder if the level of the river has kept them from working (I assume they would have to drill down for support pilings) or if he is have second thoughts on spending that kind of $$.

Was looking forward to seeing the helipad in action and to see if Get Gordon tried to match him by installing his own helipad.

You should just call him up and ask. I believe his number is 387-2323.

It might be the river level. It still hasn't dropped enough for people to resume digging within 1500 feet.

you assume? you mean you drive by there all the time and you didnt see the auger and and you dnt see the piles coming out of the ground?

they piled a bunch of dirt on top to quicken compaction and consolidation of the soil. i guess they are just waiting for this to happen.

I prefer Dudley DeBosier. They’re the official injury lawyers of the LSU Fightin’ Tigers.

River level. Can't do foundation work within 1500ft of levee centerline when river is at flood stage. Levee district will citation your arse to the stone age. He put a press release in biz journal a cpl weeks ago so ppl wouldn't think he was broke.

ETA: part of the site is outside 1500 limit, but the Corps makes whole site shut down if a portion is within limit.

The regs are by the Corps, but levee district is the LE that monitors activity.

Not belled, just straight concrete & rebar friction piles down to sand layer at about 60'-70'.

why yes i do. would you like a lesson in deep foundations?

no they were either drilled shaft or augercast. Judging by the equipment they had out there, and the proximity to the river, i would assume augercast.
