The U.S. has 7x the population of Spain. We'll be very lucky if there are "only" 100,000 deaths.

Spain’s life style is much more like Italy’s. Close knit families, urban living, and a lot of public transportation. Most of the USA doesn’t do this except for those areas that are currently being hit hard.

Naturally, the American lifestyle compared to many places currently hit hard will help us.

I was supposed to fly to Madrid in late May for a momentous romantic trip. I was going to take my girlfriend to Basque and the Pyrenees. It certainly doesn't appear that will happen now.

The chinks are going to pay a heavy price for this virus. At the very least those bastards lied and drug their feet causing this to be way worse.

Beautiful region that I know well. FYI, it's the Basque country, called Euskadi. So you would say "I was going to take my girlfriend to Euskadi" or "I was going to take my girlfriend to the Basque country".

I have tried explaining this to people who think that our entire country is the next Spain or Italy. It's hard to understand why people don't get this concept.
