they weren’t “planned” failures, pushing the envelope like Musk does. They were simply engineering failures.
Bruh, you're really trying to sit here and say that 1950s NASA wasn't pushing the envelope as much as Musk? That is an absolute clown take and you should feel like a retard for the next week for having typed it out.

NASA rockets have killed a lot more astronauts than SpaceX rockets have

Are they supposed to fly for Nasa for free?

What absolute shite show this thread tuned into, how hard could an "ignore" be for this place?

You're talking to someone who's spent time in Nasa headquarters in the past year and has his own "Try SCE to Aux" t-shirt....
And you're talking to someone who worked directly with the last of the Germans leftover from the Apollo program. You still whiffed on your meme. Be the steely eyed missile man you claim you are and admit it.

I am. There was an expectation in the 50’s that many of those launches would work, yet they blew up on the pad. They were rushing to catch up to the Russians and they were launching rockets that weren’t ready. This is completely different. Perhaps you should take a timeout genius.

Take a little hyperbole, throw in some over generalization and top it off with a nice helping of appeal to authority and that sums up the meme....

You don’t know what Falcon 9 is therefore your entire post history in this thread is invalidated.
BTW Falcon 9 has a higher success rate (99.4%) than Shuttle (98.6%). Guess failure was an option for NASA. Falcon 9 has also never killed anyone unlike shuttle and previous testing programs used by NASA. But please continue to speak on things you know nothing about

Honestly, I do. But 1) I'm lazy and 2) at this point, I'm growing tired of carrying on the discussion.
Just give yourself the win, pat yourself on the back and go about your day feeling like you've accomplished something...

Ah, to be young and smug again. Bravo.

Oh and Falcon vs the shuttle success rate. Two words. Sample size.

Yeah. Falcon currently has 316 launches. Shuttle had 135. But please continue to speak on things you don’t know anything about

This is the best amateur video I’ve seen of the launch. It’s from the Mexican side- would be an incredible place to watch from (only 1 mile away).

The other thing that needs to be mentioned is that NASA at this point is little more than a contracting agency doling out billions of dollars to politically connected corporations that suck on the teet of govt.
