Pretty healthy QLCS crossing the Mississippi River.

HRRR valid at 9:00 AM CDT tomorrow. If this works out, there would be a very healthy squall line coming across Louisiana. Also looks like there could be some discrete/semi-discrete cells ahead of it.

It will be a rather active system with a chance for pre-frontal storms, the line, and storms behind the line. The unusual aspect is that all three could carry a decent severe threat.

This thread will be alive with:
1.bitching that the commute is awful because the weather is terrible
OR
2.bitching at the shutdowns because we made it to work without turning on our wipers

There’s definitely some intense straight line winds with that segment, even if there isn’t a tornado.

So how bad we thinking for Baton Rouge? What is our current level of concern? Breast milk yet?

It is trying to clear out the rear inflow notch.

Its really odd, every single cell in the Austin area has well defined updrafts on radar but nothing

They've had some hail with them, though.

Wife got me a weather station back in January for my birthday. Our house faces north and south. Just got it set up on the back fence to record some wind gusts. Had to use some country engineering to get it above the bamboo.

What brand of station is it?
Hell, the bamboo may catch up to it by morning!

Sainlogic weather station is the name. Off Amazon. That’s the screen up top. It sometimes shows rain when there’s none. Overall it’s pretty accurate with temp and winds. The station sends info to the home screen every 15-20 seconds. It’s great for a simple weatherman like myself.
