Does Southern have any good programs such a nursing, law school, etc? A coworker of mine was talking up Southern as if it was the best school in the state. Thanks

Idk man it’s not Tulane or anything but it’s a fine university I would think. Idk really know but just like with school it’s up to the student to make the most of the education offered.

My mom (when myself and my brother were younger )decided to take us on a road trip through the beautiful LSU campus. Well this was pre gps and phones days and also my mom wasn’t very familiar with Baton Rouge at the time. As we approached the campus I looked at my bro and said there are a lot of black folks at LSU and he nodded in agreement. Well we were so happy to see the statue of a tiger finally nope it was a Jaguar my mom was driving through Southern University. When she realized where we were at we left and that was my Southern university story. True story

The average ACT of ACCEPTED students is 18. SUNO is worse with an average ACT of 15 and the lowest graduation rate of any HBCU in thsnation.
The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges placed Southern University on a warning list in June 2017, citing missed benchmarks related to faculty, student achievement, "institutional effectiveness" and student complaints.

It’s a terrible institution that steals money from the taxpayers and their students. The staff is incompetent. The students are barely literate. In return for all of this trouble, Southern provides degrees that are worthless even in the area that the institution is based.
I can’t find a single point of fact about Southern U that helps justify its existence.

I scored a 22 in the 7th grade - and I’m a fricking moron that could barely break 29 in the 12th grade. The average 18 year old matriculant at Southern scores a fricking 18?!?

It's crazy their tuition is about on par with LSU. No way I'd pay 10k per year to go to school in Scotlandville
