That is how I read it, but I'd doubt many of us are experts on South Korea politics. I couldn't imagine the opposition party wanting to really get friendly with North Korea.

It's parliament.

That's pretty easy to see.

You’re thinking of the Marshall Plan. Where the US loaned a bunch of money to Europe to rebuild and therefore made those countries subservient to us

Of the fourteen Presidents South Korea has had, only one didn't end up killed or in prison.

This is more evidence the MSM, and CNN in particular, has failed us.

South Korea is one of our biggest allies and trading partners, and not a word of anything building up to this has ever been uttered. Instead, we get a constant replay of "Trump is bad and his picks are evil" from them.

This might get interesting for me because most of my South Korean expats can be called up. And knowing these guys nka is in for some pain if they push the limits

There was a story about the North Korean troops helping Russia fight Ukraine, and upon discovering the internet have pretty much just been fascinated with pron and aren't really interested in doing anything else.

Sounds like BS to me. They're in a combat zone. They don't have smart phones or computers.

I would say that this little story comes from our media overlords and falls somewhere between "propaganda" and what psychologists call "projection." Check the byline on it, and if it's not coming from Jeffrey Toobin it's probably coming from one of his cousins.
