That was pretty intense. No damage that I can see so far, but it was pretty rough there for awhile. Power is still on.

Trapped in that but alive is incredible.

Must have been just enough of an air pocket! That would be terrifying.

Stay safe in LC. Another bad stretch coming your way in a half hour or so.

Starting to feel it already. Screw it. Almost time for a nightcap or 3 and then some sleep. Fortunately, I'm off tomorrow.

I learned a new term tonight. 3” hail in S. Houston earlier was categorized as “Teacup” size.

I think they are going to need a couple of drinks too. This time of the night, I hope everyone woke up and got out okay.

Been awake for an hour in Lake Charles. No hail at my home, thank God. Some of these pics are terrifying.

Have things calmed down at all at the edge of the line?

Storms aren't as intense now and should continue to erode a bit ad they progress eastward across LA. Still moving pretty slow though, and plenty of rain still out there.

Currently looks more spotty all day than anything organized.
Most of the state is behind our front now, and the post frontal situation isn't bringing the same moisture content in as it has for the past couple of days.

I don’t think anything organized is supposed to come through until late tonight and early tomorrow.

Not a good look for accumulating precip through 32 hours on the HRRR model
