Son’s baseball season cancelled

We were tentatively scheduled to start June 1st, but official word cane down today.
My son is upset about this as am I. We’ve been putting a lot of work in.
Illinois is awful. If I didn’t have an awesome job here, I would be gone in a minute. Our governor has outlawed more than two people in a boat at a time. Meaning I can only go fishing with one of my sons at a time. frick this liberal shite hole. I am tempted to organize a little league on my own property

My youngest daughter was supposed to compete in Disney 1st week of July and we got word tonight that they cancelled.. She's gonna be devastated tomorrow when I have to tell her.

Be thankful he's not older. My neighbor has a kid who lost his junior season in baseball, which is absolutely crucial to recruiting. Might lose legion/travel ball too. Same with a lot of the lacrosse kids. It doesn't matter as much for the D1 type kids who have already been on varsity for a year or two and have shown what they can do but for some of the borderline kids (especially at the local high school here that has a good program where a lot of them don't make varsity until junior year because of all the talent on the roster) it's an issue.
I know it's rough but if nothing else maybe this gives him a chance to work on some fundamentals.

I’m from Illinois, served as good preparation for Louisiana politicians. Luckily NOLA and BR can’t manhandle Louisiana laws nearly as much as Chicagoland dictates how IL works.
