I've got a friend traveling there for the summer and he's wondering the difference between Metairie, Mandeville, New Orleans. (Not sure exactly where he is staying).

Also, inside New Orleans where does he find the 20-30 year old elite crowd? Or do they stay in one of the afore mentioned suburbs?

New Orleans proper is a shithole. Tell him to look into Lakeview or Old Metairie.

The Warehouse District. That's where he wants to be. Hope he makes a lot.
