Not happy it was an adult, just grateful it wasn’t a child

I mean don’t you think that’s an issue?
Yes. Which is why the route doesn’t need to be barricaded the entire way. I’m pointing out how the barricades would cause more crowd issues/injuries than the freak accidents that have happened in the last 3 days.

The float 14 and its crew.

Good call on the no barricades.
Good thing Mardi Gras is only 2 months or it may challenge the New Orleans gun death rate.

That could potentially kill a dozen riders through cardiac arrest.

It’s not gruseum but I’m not posting it. It’s a black adult male

The batting average for float safety has been incredible. For decades.
Feels like the best route to have a knee jerk here would just be netting between tandems and maybe along the bottom. Not banking them.

My point is how the frick are tandem floats at fault here?
They aren't

Fair enough, i do agree there are choke points. I’m amazed this doesn’t happen more often tbh.

Should really be throwing more beads than that picture indicates.

Jut wait til you’ve got people 7 deep pressed up against a barricade with nowhere to go when someone starts shooting. Yeah that’ll work out.
Posted on 2/22/20 at 8:40 pm to PillPusher
Well would you rather get shot or run over by a float?

Baton Rouge st patty makes us have at least 4 walkers to keep people at least 3-4 feet back. I mean that’s the least drastic solution.

At that point, the person shooting is at fault, not the barricades.
