That story is like from 2002. 
Let's just say when I went to Branson, MO, I felt it wsa a must that I go to the world's largest Golden Corral. It was glorious in all it's splendor of walks of life. To all the church people in there, I felt like they needed a sermon on gluttony.

Basically average cafeteria food in a belly up to the trough format. Expect lots of people, many will be fat, and lots of food will be wasted as people put way too much on their multiple plates and scurry back to the tables. Wash hands after you make the rounds and before you eat because everybody touches all of the serving ladles and spoons.

Food is decent. Fried chicken is good. A lot of culture and Livingston Parish's finest at the GC though.

I ate at the one in BR one time. One day at lunch me and a co-worker decided to go somewhere neither of us have ever gone to so we ended up going to GC. We left for lunch at 11:30AM so we got there right before the crowd showed up.
Anyway, I got a piece of fried chicken, something else (i forget what it was), and a salad. The chicken and the other dish was at room temp and that is something that I hate... To bite into something that I think is warm and it isn't.. So I ended up eat salad and some dessert. And as the crowd started coming in and I was looking at all the people who hovers over all the food.. I doubt I ever go back.
