Let’s take this in another direction.
Why is it that people like yourself want to implement communism/socialism here. Why not move to countries that have already implemented those systems? Surely you would be much happier in China, Venezuela, Cuba, North Korea. What is preventing people like yourself from moving to places that already implement the systems that you love so dearly?

Yep. The role of government should be to protect us from within (police), protect us from without (military), and to enforce contracts (courts). And depending on how many excuses I’m inclined to make that day, I may or may not be willing to make some of that minuscule tax collection paradigm non-voluntary
But yeah, we damned near never have actual economic threads, at least in the context of political philosophy or economic theory. It’s mostly just people yelling back and forth about gas prices and whose fault it is

This is just a fiction you’re created in your head. I actually have an issue with transgender individuals competing in competitive sports, for example. Now, I imagine my position on the subject is a bit more nuanced than the standard “make it illegal!” stance of most on this board, but I hold positions that would (and do) make my Progressive friends fricking irate.
But I also understand that there is zero room for nuance on TD
