oh, don’t be ridiculous. We both know that’s not true.

You already know I wouldn’t make you watch the draft. Because I care nothing about the NFL. And I wouldn’t even mind shopping for home accessories, with you or on my own. And in between gym trips, keeping my body rock hard, I’d craft homemade candles to keep our place smelling beautiful.

Unfortunately for you, we’re both already spoken for.

This sentence is the problem with marriage. Just let the guy watch the draft alone and buy shite for the house on your own (within a given budget).

Nope. Happy relationships are all about forcing your partner to do something he/she hates to do. Then they can force you to do stuff as well. Sounds like a great plan.

Okay. You sound even worse than I could've possibly imagined. I'm telling my husband about my experience on the OT before just before his 5 week training trip, and he's laughing about you. Not worried...actually laughing out loud...because you're a complete d-bag.

I never made my SO's do things they didn't want to do. If they were unhappy, then I would have been unhappy. I always left Christmas mornings at their parent's to go to mine for lunch, by myself, because I barely wanted to go see my family, why force them? I'm not married though, so I guess I can't have an opinion, right?

Why do the higher majority of your topics have to do with male insecurity?

Of course you can. I judge your ideas based on the quality of those ideas, not on your personal experiences.

I'm so glad that you're back, Liz. You're a very strong personality, and I like and appreciate that. I know that we haven't interacted a ton, but I kind of wish that I had your energy...

Not sure why he’s laughing. You’re the one complaining about having to watch the “stupid NFL draft” with him. And he’s the one being forced to follow you around stores.

I mean, I think it’s funny, but I don’t know why he does.

I think men stop fighting back and pick their battles because it just isn't worth the constant fighting. Eventually they get beat down by their women, who wield their "power" by being bitchy. It's sad really. I appreciate a man who can stand up and voice himself. I need to be put in my place, at times and am glad when someone cares enough to.

To me it’s not about constant fighting or picking battles. It’s about finding things you like to do together and doing those things together as often as you can. As well as being okay with not doing certain things together that you don’t both enjoy. A lot of relationships turn into “just do it because it makes me happy.” Well what about the happiness of the other person? Why does that not matter?

I do a lot of things on my own that my wife doesn’t like to do. Like play piano or do stuff with cars or watch documentaries about WWII. I don’t want her to do things things begrudgingly. And she doesn’t drag me to dumb shite like some retard’s gender reveal party.

It’s called picking your battles. Doesn’t have anything to do with your wife being in a mother role. When you get to know a person, you know what buttons aren’t worth pressing. If that is too much for someone, then they should not have married the person.

Well, if you piss your wife off now, then she’s going to leave you and get at LEAST half of your shite plus half of your wages until she fleeces another guy or your life starts to suck so bad that you suck-start a shotgun. I have a feeling most guys just feel like they’ll Go with the flow and do what she says just to keep women from nagging.

Pretty much. Modern women are like Sheriff Bart holding the gun up to himself in "Blazing Saddles". They made you wager every decision based on the harm you are willing to inflict on them. To disagree with, disappoint, or anger them is to cause them emotional harm. Sure, you might be willing to be in the dog house for not caving, but are you willing to harm the one you love? Are you willing to hurt her? Break her beyond repair?

Once you cave to protect her, she owns you. Once she owns you, she loses all respect and attraction for you. By caving, you may avoid "hurting" her, but what you do is end any chance that the relationship won't end in her taking half your stuff and half your income until she finds her a new hostage. All women want to be in charge. They are told their whole lives that men are pigs and control freaks and evil and that women need to be independent and shouldn't be submissive, that they need to do it all. They fight to be in control because that is what they're told they want. As soon as they get control, they hate it. It's not fun anymore. It's not sexy. They're not aroused by being in control for long. They then slowly withdraw until they find someone else who controls them that they can try to wrest control from to start the cycle anew.

The reality, is that by taking the one hostage you want to protect at all costs, you become the one who's hijacked.
