By that rationale “the best” people join the scouts...
My 10 y\o is in the Scouts, he loves it... But he does other things as well, plays football, baseball and wrestles...

I was an Eagle Scout. Scouting was a fantastic experience for me. I’m still best friends with most of the guys from the Troop. I’m sure things have changed but my experience was awesome.

As I write this, a bunch of boys are on their way to Philmont to do some really cool shite. Things haven't changed and don't let a bunch of frickfaces on the OT tell you any different.

Agreed. No group is perfect. We are even seeing police being involved in some frickery. Using some of these douchebag posters faulty logic, I guess we should do away with police forces too because a few of them are molesters.

The organization you knew as the Boy Scouts has ceased to exist. It’s another casualty of the cancer on society that is the progressive and LGBTQ agenda.
But to answer your question, there is still an organization out there that still stands for what the Boy Scouts use to stand for. It’s called Trail Life USA.

Scouts as a whole is watered down relative to what it used to be.
But largely your experience in scouting is tied to have a good local troop with strong adult leaders. Those still exist. Scouts provide a platform but ultimately it's the local leaders and adults who make it happen.
National high adventures: philmont, northern tier, sea base are still very strong outdoor programs unlike any other and provide wonderful experiences for many young men. Same with the national jamboree.
So while I'm disappointed in some of the changes on the national level for scouting, there are still good people in good troops that provide great guidance for many young men. It's a shame that the national perception of the scouting organization has taken a nose dive in the last decade.

You don't know what the frick you're talking about. The scouts, like any organization will reflect the morals and values of the regions it serves and even in the most liberal regions, the queer alphabet thing is uncommon in scouting. In the southeastern, western and midwestern footprint? All but non-existent. How many openly gay scout masters and gay kids do you really think exist outside the east coast?
The boyscouts as I know it and have known it for years is alive and well and I see it played out every frickin' week.

People seem to want to defend Boy Scouts, but absolutely vilify the Catholic Church for the same good and bad. Seems like a double standard. And female teachers and Protestant clergy get a pass.
