David Meade, who claimed the world will end Saturday, said doomsday isn't this weekend after all.
“The world is not ending, but the world as we know it is ending,” he told The Washington Post. “A major part of the world will not be the same the beginning of October.”
Meade, Christian and self-published author, laid out his "astronomical, scientific, the Book of Revelation and geopolitics" ideology in his book Planet X — The 2017 Arrival. He claims Sept. 23 "Planet Nibiru" will collide with the Earth.
But now Meade is saying this event won't mark the apocalypse, but rather a series of dire events over the course of weeks, The Washington Post reports.
NASA has said "Nibiru" or "Planet X" doesn't exist and this is a hoax. Christian leaders have also disputed the claims. Christianity Today calls Meade "a made-up leader in a made-up field."

Thank God. For a minute there I thought I'd have to watch the Arkansas/A&M game.

If LSU loses to Syracuse...at home...at night... tomorrow the world will certainly end.

Not a single climate prediction has ever come true, but people keep making those as well. It generates publicity and money, so I guess it won't stop.

Anybody that proclaims a certain date for the end is automatically a charlatan. No human is privy to the exact date.
I wish Chicken would consider opening a religion board.

SEP 23 does appear to fulfill a prophecy in the Book of Revelations where it talks about a woman being clothed with the sun and the moon at her feet. This does happen; however, this is the beginning of the fulfillment of the prophecies contained within the Book of Revelations, not the end.
There is supposed to be a period of 1000 years of peace prior to the end f the world. I don't believe that has happened yet either. The end us quite a ways away. We need to be concerned about the anti-christ.
"No one knows the day, nor the hour" of the end of the world; therefore, it is fruitless to try to predict it.

Exactly very well said. Every generation has thought that they might see the end times. Even when I may think the end may be "near" what does "near" mean to YAHWEH? A thousand years on earth is a day to Him. You can live to be a hundred and your life would of been a quick mist to GOD. The mist of opening a soda can. All I know is to pay close attention to Israel.

There is no irony at all in this statement.
