How many FROM Covid? As opposed to people that already had heart disease, diabetes, cancer or other conditions that required active treatment/monitoring who didn't get or seek treatment because they were locked down or scared as frick to leave their house or go to a doctor/hospital.

Also, let's accept this increase as accurate...it pales (both in numbers and percentage of population) to prior epidemics/pandemics where the world (and the country) did not shut down.

No shite. Then once there was attention brought to the age of that population...

Everything was going well so the insane, manipulative media had to make a mountain out of a mole hill.

Facebook/Twitter 100%. Trump and the election might have had something to do with some local media/lockdowns 9 months ago, but this is a worldwide overreaction. Italy and Japan are essentially back in Phase 1 right now. That has nothing to do with a foreign election in November.

Sorry, the_watcher, you blew that. It is 229,028 extra deaths. That is among all demographics. The fact that 25-44 year olds saw the biggest increase is meaningless to your argument. He proved you wrong.

You either didn’t read the article he linked or did and aren’t able to deduce what it actually said. Using January through March 2020 is laughable. Trump suspended air travel from China on 1/31/20 and everyone called him a racist bigot.

Secondly, he’s touting a number of deaths “from covid” with the majority of data coming from an age group NOT AT RISK OF DYING FROM COVID

But wait! There’s more!
quote:

A Poisson regression model used mortality data from 2014-2019 to predict US expected deaths in 2020. Observed deaths in weeks ending March 1, 2020, through January 2, 2021, were taken from provisional, unweighted death counts for the District of Columbia and 49 states, excluding North Carolina for insufficient data.

Ha ha ha!!! Another subjective model was used, even though the real data was available. And poor North Carolina - they don’t know how many people died there! LOL!

These models were probably created by the same folks who make the climate change models.

This for me.

I saw an Italian Doc or Nurse using hand gel on gloved hands between patients. I knew they were in “scorched earth “ mode over there. Definitely perked my spidey senses at that point. Hoping it didn’t hit here, but New York was about to hit the news cycles. Just hadn’t yet.

That’s me on a personal level of a guy in healthcare (Murse).

The over reaction and over reach and the media handling at this point is comical. Numbers in the Houston are ARE down. All any news EVER talks about are new variants and strains and a 4th surge. Never is good news discussed.

A world where I can celebrate my birthday again, go to sports or music school.
A world where people look forward to each other again and are not afraid of each other.
A world in which I can be a normal child again."

You know, it’s one thing for adults to mask themselves up and hide from humanity, even enjoy it because they’re introverts or want to hide themselves away from society, and it’s a totally different thing with kids who crave and desperately need socializing, and see things much differently than an adult does, especially as time seems to run on much longer for a kid than it does an adult. It’s also quite selfish to relish in isolation while children have their childhood stolen from them.

I didn’t see anything near that....actually, China reported unrealistically low number of deaths attributable to the pandemic.

OVERREACTION???

If anything there has been a massive under-reaction to this pandemic in the United States of Idiocracy.
You are truly ignorant. You probably watch MSNBC & CNN and believe every word.

Whose alter are you? Your opinion in your threads spammed on the poli board as well; makes me want to do more due diligence regarding the vaccination.

How mind numbingly ignorant of you to not see Biden and gang as the Idiocracy.

You didn’t see any of the videos posted to Twitter (and here) that showed people in China collapsing in the streets and subways? Before it hit the US those videos were everywhere.

Nothing works better at controlling the masses than filling their heads with fear. We have an entire population of humanity living in fear of their fellow American, but worse still is that you have an entire generation of children that are going to be forever weirded out and I’m convinced this will make society in 10 to 20 years from now weirder than you can even imagine.

Hell, it only took a year for people to get weird AF... In 2019, would you have dreamed you’d see a significant number of people driving around in their cars with masks on? And yet, that’s our new “normal”.

Progs are fricking retarded.

Progressives overestimate damage from coronavirus

Progressives overestimate the number of black people killed by cops

You people are drama queens. its what you live for. I have no doubt you are a true believer though.

And it's particularly dangerous at this time when half the nation willingly wants to be fearful at all times.
