well it's weird that if God was gonna make an effort to put them the perfect distance he'd get it wrong.

According to these dimensions
quote:

Diameter of the moon: 2,159.2 miles
Distance from Earth: 238,855 miles
Ratio: 111:1

Diameter of the sun: 865,370 miles
Distance from Earth: 93,095,000 miles
Ratio: 108:1

why wouldn't he have got the ratios perfect if that was his goal? Or is God not good at math?

A grape could block out the sun it just depends on their positioning I. Relationship to your eyes

I for one would prefer an even girthier moon for better, longer lasting eclipses.
