The boom isn't going to be from people with kids - most of us are smart enough not to make that mistake again.

What the hell do they think people with kids are doing at home? We aren’t just sitting around doing nothing. Most are actually working from home with 3-5 zoom/Skype/web based meetings a day with actual shite to get done on top if making sure the kids aren’t Turing into mindless zombies by just turning on an iPad or tv.
The kids are inside the house a lot because they can’t go out and play with their friends because “social distancing” so what the he’ll did they expect.
Also, last time I checked kids are pretty damn expensive so why, in the middle of an economic shutdown where jobs are being cut every day, would someone with half a brain plan to have a kid right now?
Then throw in the fact that it seems like every girl that hit puberty is on birth control, you don’t get a baby boom

The one thing I find ironic, and this goes way back before this virus stuff, is that it's the more money you have, the less likely you think you can afford to have kids.

Exactly right on all of your points.
I’ll add another. Why would you do something that would intentionally put your wife into the health care system in a few months when we really don’t know how this will play out?
No way a baby boom was ever coming out of this.

It's probably for the best. God knows what kinds of birth defects it would cause if a woman catches Coronavirus when she's pregnant.
