I was the guy with a truck in college. I helped friends move a bunch. I always got beer and a meal at Louie’s or something. If an adult can’t do something similar, the hell with that.

The last time I helped a girl move, I scored some good sex and free alcohol. We got together shortly after, and now I find myself engaged to her.

I’ve read 18 pages of this shite and there are zero pics. All I know is you have fantasized about this girl, but then give off a vibe that sex isn’t worth it? If you are this back and forth, you have no shot.

I haven’t read any of this thread, but after reading the OP, here is my take:

She’s prob hot, and you’ve always been her ‘guy friend’ always bending over backwards for her, but never getting your shot.

You will eventually inconvenience yourself again, help her move, and not get anything out of it but a thank you.

After you’ve got her settled, you prob won’t hear from her again until she needs something or it benefits her in some way.

I’ve helped lots and lots and lots of people move over the course of my life, and few are ever there for me when I needed help moving. It’s not really the point though. Truth is, as this story has progressed, it seems it’s not about timing after all. It’s about a reluctance to help at all.
