Nah they have it too. You just have to remember turn it off before you set off. It defaults to being on.

Ah. Ok. I drove one briefly yesterday and didn’t remember seeing it. The Ford also defaults to being on. It’s the most stupid “feature” I’ve ever seen.

Ram is owned by an Italian company so does domestic to your company mean American owned company, most parts are domestic, or assembled in American plant?

A lot of Chevy and GMC trucks are made in Mexico. If the VIN starts with "3", the truck is made in Mexico.

Get a Tundra. Most American made full size truck out there.

I kinda wish the Tundra was an option as the one I’ve had for years has been a workhorse. When I handed it down to my son it already had 200,000 miles. Now it has close to 250,000.

Not yet. And to be honest I’m kinda disappointed.

My truck allowance is $900 per month FWIW.

That's a good allowance. But calculate that as a percentage of your overall compensation. I'm guessing you make more than that on a weekly basis. It's your money

Yes, of course. That $900 is meant to go toward the overall owning and upkeep cost of the truck. It’s considered a part of my overall compensation package. I’ll also have to pay for maintenance and tires out of that. I’ll keep my fuel card though so I won’t have to worry about fuel.

I don’t like the interior layout or drivability of a Dodge. But that’s more of a personal preference. And I’ve heard the same negatives about the transmissions.

I’ve owned/driven two Fords and two Chevys in my life and currently have a 2017 Z 1500. I’ll never buy another Ford and the Chevys have done well with plenty of power, good fuel economy and good interior designs.

If money isn’t an issue though, I’d probably go with the GMC.

TFWIW & IMHO: GMC >= Chevy > >>Ford>Ram

Since you have to get a V8, skip the Ford. No point in the F150 if you don’t get the ecoboost.

Ram looks to be a great truck. But if you can get the Trail Boss with the 6.2, that’s what you do.

Of all the trucks I test drove yesterday, I have to say the Ram impressed me the most. Here’s a pic of the one I was looking at.

About the only thing it didn’t have that I’d want is running boards. But I could get those added no problem.

IMO Ram is the choice of you’re putting a lot of hwy miles on it. It’s got the best ride especially if you get the air suspension.

Go look at a Ram Rebel. Looks more more off-road ready and has a good stance with a factory 1 inch lift.

What are the problems you speak of with Fords ?
I drive a 2008 F150 Anniversary Series
Has 160k miles on it. Only been in the shop maybe once. Routine maintenance makes a difference
