The South Alabama State Fair in the Gump out at Garrett Coliseum is some of the best people watching there is. The carnies are legendary.

I think the poor of 50 years for the most part still took some pride in their appearance and their families. It's not the "poor". It is the "sorry" that happen to be poor that seem to have drastically multiplied. Dope, welfare, ect. have taken their toll on society standards.

Went to the BR state fair a few years ago and had a great tie won da wife a teddy bear took first place in the jelly judging rode the ferris wheel had fair food and a fun day first place in the judging paid the whole thing too it was fun and yes i was that trashy back then too
