Sounds like you are spending way too much time on leg day. You need to dedicate 4 or 5 more days to chest and biceps.

Let the haters hate. Especially if you have knee issues. I rarely see anyone put much more than 225 on the squat rack (it definitely happens, but not enough for everyone to walk around talking like they can squat their car).

You see it, but you don't see a lot of good form with more than 225, which is unfortunate.

A squat injury will end the party real quick.

I can rep 225 at least ten times and I don't consider myself that strong.

That's why I don't do it anymore. At 32 I have to calculate my risks.

Is this real life? I am in no way a big guy, nor do I lift often, but thats just sad.

Nice man. Keep working at it

Squats hurt my upper knee area so I have been slacking recently.

It's not like you're weak.

I'd say 75% of the people on earth can't do 225 ten times.

More than that. Probably 90%. 1RM for 225x10 is 300.

135 is pretty good especially if you haven't squared in years. You doing it 10 times is not easy

X10 reps in a single set and now I can barely walk.

I could squat 405 at 16 and stopped lifting for several years in my 20's. That's about all I could muster when I started back. Leg days are the best.

I can too (or could, been about 6 months since I've lifted weights so truthfully I have no clue). And I honestly have chicken legs. It's not a huge feat or anything. But there were about 10 or so guys I noticed at the gym who legitimately were getting parallel and squatting 315+ with any amount of reps. Lots of people doing 225 and change, but not many spend a lot more time truly working harder than that.

Truth. My 1RM is only 335 below parallel arse to the grass type squat.

YouTube Starting Strength, it's a great beginner program for people just getting back into a weight program. Especially the proper form required for the major lifts.
And don't wear running shoes on your leg days.

No, even barefoot. It is a pain above both of my kneecaps in the center. Like something wants to snap. I may go see a PT for it as I miss squatting.

I wear old flat bottomed skateboard shoes or just do everything in socks. I prefer the latter.

I do 4 sets of 135lbs--on the smith machine. IDGAF how girly it looks. I got a rebuilt knee and an achy back.

You should be proud of me for doing legs at all.

I guess it depends. I've never squatted more than that and I consider my legs to be my weakest muscle group. But they look good and I'd rather look good than be stronger. Is that wrong?

that sucks. You always hope a small change to form or something as simple as changing shoes can help. Good luck

Socks

I did that for a while then went to wrestling shoes with a zero drop so I could have more grip. Don't lace up over the ankle though
