It's your fibula... Not as weight bearing as your tibia like you said... Did they not put you in a boot? That's weird.

Seems a boot would at least stabilize it..

Get pain pills from doctor. You may need them occasionally while you heal up and continue to walk on it. Get a lawyer too.

Recommending opiates and litigiousness. The trash has entered the chat!

shite happens, not going to go after some Hispanic dudes because I'm going to limp for a week.

I'll hobble down there and fix it properly today so it doesn't happen to one of the kids.

If only more people had this attitude our insurance rates would be a lot more palatable and society would be a lot better.

A sure sign a lawyer has entered the chat.

Had a very similar break in HS after getting speared in the knee during a football game... maybe because it was a little closer to my knee or due to my age, but I had to wear a leg brace/immobilize my knee for a couple months.

A boot is only for your lower calf.

Damn right it is. Live on 20 acres in the country, no one to impress.

Fibula is non-weight bearing.

He needs a cast to validate his limp and constant bitching

People might think he has a pimp walk. Maybe he should buy a big hat with a feather and a cane.

Broke my fibula (closer to ankle) 2 years ago at 43 years old. Doctor highly recommend surgery. Got plate and 9 screws then was in a cast/boot for 5-6 weeks. Took much longer to walk correctly (without limp) than I would ever thought prior.

Would have rather chanced healing on its own in a boot now that I seem to have more complications after surgery.

Subtle brag, I have a pool.

Apologies if you just have a ladder.

Wishing you a speedy recovery!
